Through the PAWS ACT, $2.5 million has been appropriated in 2021 for shelter and transitional housing and other assistance to victims of domestic violence and their companion animals. The Office for Victims of Crime anticipates making up to five awards of up to $500,000 each for a 36-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2021.
