OAA’s Board member Krista Hyme, a kindergarten teacher at Johnnycake Corners Elementary in the Olentangy School District, is leading a Kind Kids Program this summer session. The focus of the program is to help kids see they can have a voice in helping people and animals in their community. The kids will hear from the Humane Society of Delaware County, Columbus Humane, Mash Resource Center, Family Promise, SourcePoint, and OAA. The kids will be making no-sew cat blankets, decorating flower pots for the veteran center, making art kits for the family shelter, and making pet treat bags with notes for pet owners getting Meals on Wheels. We congratulate Krista on her new effort to build community compassion!
