Elizabeth (Liz) Solomon
Liz is a volunteer advocate at Ohio Animal Advocates. She assists in planning the Real Ohio Tours and helps with research and other initiatives. Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, Liz attended Arizona State University and graduated with a BS in Economics and an MS in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. Recently retired, she worked with USDA Child Nutrition Programs throughout her career. She also taught nutrition classes at Columbus State Community College and various colleges in the Phoenix area.
Liz moved to Columbus in 1998 to be closer to family. She’s always had a love for animals. She likes to volunteer in order to help those who don’t have a voice. Animals need human protection and OAA does excellent work.
Liz lives in the Columbus area with her partner Jim, their dog Dexter and Morus the cat. She loves bird-watching, gardening, reading, golfing and solving crossword puzzles.
