In this 1-hour presentation, Claire and Val will introduce participants to Safe Havens for Pets' latest project: a comprehensive, searchable directory of shelters, transitional living programs, and animal welfare agencies that provide critical pet sheltering services for people experiencing homelessness with a companion animal.

Available in all 50 states, these programs vary by community but share a commitment to serving housing-insecure individuals with pets. In addition to showcasing the directory’s features and impact, the session will include tools and resources offered by the Safe Havens for Pets program designed to help service providers and advocates implement and strengthen pet-inclusive practices.
