From Classroom to Community: How Students Can Support Pets and People in Crisis
Join RedRover and the National Academies of Practice (NAP) for a special presentation on supporting domestic violence survivors and pets. In this 2-hour session, students will explore the interconnections between domestic violence, pets, and healthcare, with a focus on social work and veterinary medicine. Participants will leave this training prepared to support people and pets in crisis during their schooling and in their communities.
This Lunch & Learn is open to anyone, but content will be geared toward current students pursuing degrees in social work, veterinary medicine, and public health.

Safe Havens for Pets: Sheltering Resources for the Unhoused
In this 1-hour presentation, Claire and Val will introduce participants to Safe Havens for Pets' latest project: a comprehensive, searchable directory of shelters, transitional living programs, and animal welfare agencies that provide critical pet sheltering services for people experiencing homelessness with a companion animal.
Dublin Pet Fair
The 13th Annual Dublin Pet Fair will be held on Sunday September 21, 2025, from 12pm to 5pm at the Coffman Park Pavilion, 5200 Emerald Parkway, in Dublin, OH. The purpose of this event is to bring awareness to animal welfare organizations in the State of Ohio, to promote the adoption of shelter and rescue pets, to showcase animal related vendors and sponsors, and to provide an educational and entertaining event for the public. The proceeds from this event will be utilized for spay/neuter efforts to help control pet overpopulation, a major concern faced by the rescue community in our state.
Return-to-Field: Saving the Lives of Community Cats Certification Workshop (TNR Program Management Training)
Presented by Neighborhood Cats, you'll learn how Return-to-Field (RTF) programs are saving the lives of healthy community cats once at risk in shelters. This session covers RTF policies, implementation, combining RTF with TNR, and addressing common controversiesβplus youβll earn a digital certificate after passing a brief test!

Fostering Dogs with Behavior Concerns: Supporting Dogs and People
This course is designed to teach shelter and rescue professionals to identify common behavior problems in shelter dogs and help you place those animals in foster homes. Taking on a dog that presents with concerning behaviors can be a daunting task for a foster caregiver, especially those that are new to fostering. Training shelter staff and volunteers to assist and support foster dogs during their stay not only empowers foster caregivers to take on more cases, but also increases positive outcomes for dogs that present with behavior concerns.
Developing Your Own Kitten College
Neonatal kittens are the most vulnerableβand most euthanizedβanimals in shelters nationwide. This course empowers shelters and rescues of all sizes to build sustainable, high-impact neonatal programs grounded in the principles of Shelter Medicine/ High-Quality, High-Volume (HQHV) kitten care. Modeled after the success of National Kitten College, this four-session series offers a step-by-step guide to launching or strengthening your own Kitten College initiative. Participants will learn how to design foster-based systems, implement evidence-based protocols, train and support staff and fosters, and establish the partnerships and data infrastructure needed for long-term success.

Pet Protection Orders: A Powerful Tool to Respond to Animal Abuse and Domestic Violence
Forty American states now specifically enable courts to include companion and/or farm animals in domestic violence protection-from-abuse orders. The movement to enable pet protection orders began in 2006 and has spread rapidly, but several states are still holding out.
This webinar will examine the history of this movement, the unexpected opposition to what should be a common-sense solution to Link issues, and how well this legal mechanism is being utilized.
