The Thanksgiving for the Turkeys event is Sunrise Sanctuary’s largest fundraiser of the year. Save turkeys from being on a plate and allow them to live the rest of their natural lives in peace and love here at the Sanctuary. In addition to celebrating these magnificent beings, this event helps Sunrise Sanctuary raise money to pay the feed bill for the winter. This is the sanctuary’s 17th anniversary of holding this event. Every year, they are thrilled to welcome old friends back and new ones to the family!

There will be plenty of time to tour the grounds and love on the Sunrise babies and there will be a yummy vegan meal included in the price of the ticket. They will also have the Sweets and Treats bake sale, raffle items, merchandise and craft items for sale. Plus an activity book for kids.

A very special THANK YOU to Matthew Wolf, who will be preparing the meal, the generous and oh so talented bakers who are donating the goodies for the sweets and treats table (108 Delectable Delights, Wallflour Bakery Columbus, Community Grounds: Trolley Café & Mercantile, Dough Mama Cafe & Bakery, BVH Bakery, Brezel, and DIYCookieParty.com) and our the generous corporate donors for their donations for the food and supplies for the event (Meijer, Walmart, Fresh Thyme Market, Giant Eagle, Marc's, Rumpke, and Trader Joes). Finally a special thank you to the amazing supporters and volunteers who donated items for our raffle including PattyCake Bakery and artist Sarah Fox.
