Ohio Animal Foundation Launches 2026 "Celebrating Life with Animals" Photo Contest Fundraiser
Animal lovers across Ohio have a chance to show off their favorite pets while supporting programs that help animals throughout the state.
The Ohio Animal Foundation has launched its 2026 Celebrating Life with Animals Photo Contest, an annual fundraiser that combines adorable pet photos with meaningful support for animal welfare initiatives. The contest is open now, with voting continuing through July 31, 2026.
The fundraiser supports the Ohio Animal Foundation's work on behalf of companion animals and wildlife, including its annual Tackle Pet Hunger campaign, grant programs, educational outreach efforts, and other initiatives that improve the lives of animals across Ohio.
Entering the contest is simple. For a $25 entry fee, participants can submit a photo of their pet and will receive a copy of the 2027 Celebrating Life with Animals calendar, which will be mailed later this year. Every submitted photo will be included in the calendar, making it a keepsake for participants and animal lovers alike.
Community members can also support the contest by voting for their favorite entries. Each vote costs just $1, with every dollar helping fund programs that benefit animals throughout Ohio.
The competition also offers exciting prizes. The photo receiving the most votes will be featured on the cover of the 2027 calendar and on a month of the winner's choosing. The grand prize winner will also receive a photography session from Ash and Alder Photography, a $100 Hollywood Feed gift card, and five copies of the calendar.
The next 11 highest vote-getters will be featured on individual monthly spreads, while additional top-ranking photos will appear throughout the calendar.
Fundraisers like Celebrating Life with Animals provide a creative way for animal advocates to support important causes while celebrating the special bond between people and their pets. Whether your companion is a dog, cat, rabbit, horse, bird, or another beloved animal, the contest offers an opportunity to share their story while helping animals in need.
