Join the 11th Annual Responding to the Needs of Victims Conference for Detecting the Silent Signals of Intimate Partner Violence, featuring Jim Schmidt of the Gabby Petito Foundation.
This training will help law enforcement, first responders, attorneys, victim advocates, social workers, medical professionals, and other allied professionals recognize both visible and hidden signs of domestic violence. Participants will explore the effects of trauma, signs of strangulation, trauma-informed response, scene safety, documentation, and strategies for identifying risk factors and holding offenders accountable.
Through discussion, data, and scenario-based exercises, the program will strengthen participants’ ability to recognize warning signs, respond effectively, and ensure survivors are seen, heard, and supported.
Continuing Education: 5 hours CLE, 5.5 hours OPOTA CPT, and 6.5 hours NASW Ohio Chapter CEUs approved.
